Radiohead "Nice Dream"

"(Nice Dream)"

They love me like I was a brother
They protect me, listen to me
They dug me my very own garden
Gave me sunshine, made me happy

Nice dream, nice dream, nice dream

I call up my friend, the good angel
But she's out with her ansaphone
She says she would love to come help but
The sea would electrocute us all

Nice dream [x7]

If you think that you're strong enough
If you think you belong enough
If you think that you're strong enough
If you think you belong enough

Nice dream [x4]

There are some songs that just can't get out of your head, for me, this is one of those songs...

Nice Dream. To tell you the truth,  I was never a Radiohead fan. I was more og Blur fan. In fact, I was more into Blur, Oasis, Pulp and Suede. I only enjoy listening to Radiohead starting from 2008 after I found out that I have their MP3s in my MP3 collections. Before that I only knew Creep, Karma Police, Just and a few other singles.

Nice dream is not the greatest song ever written. But, I just can't get the melodies out of my head ever since I first heard this song. And for the past 2 or 3 month the melodies becoming very haunting. This is what happen when a song is consider "great" in my vocabulary. I would hum the song without knowing. When I was in Taiwan, "Nice Dream" is the official humming sound.

When I heard this song, I cant really make our what Mr Thom Yorke is singing. To my ears, he was just mumbling "nice dream' that sounded like "ice cream". If I'm not mistaken, most of their songs are like this. We can't really make out what he is singing.

Concerning the song, even after I read the lyric, I can't still get what the story is really all about. I think I know what it mean, but the truth, I'm nt so sure.

Having said so, "Nice Dream" is a very haunting song. Enjoy...
